EFM French Section Elective (FSE)

The program taught in the French Section Elective (FSE) is the one defined by the French Ministry of Education and focuses on French literacy and maths. Students’ learnings are assessed in accordance with the French Ministry of Education criteria. Students are taught in French, by a French teacher accredited from France and Victoria.

The FSE program is located within Caulfield Junior College (CJC). FSE students are taught alternatively 50% of their time in a French class and the other 50% in an Australian class of CJC. With their Australian teacher in their Australian class, students are taught and learn according to the VELS (Victorian Essential Learning Standards).

French and Australian teachers work together to ensure the best alignment possible of their class activities and a close follow up of students’ progress.

Since they follow 2 programs in 2 languages, students benefit from a bilingual and bicultural education.

Being CJC students, children who join the FSE program share the same values and follow the code of conduct of CJC.

The French Section Elective is opened to all regardless of their nationality or culture. Fees apply for enrolment.
